THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTOS
There's something cool about hay bales. There's something even cooler when they're rolled. This summer I was on a mission to find rolled hay bales somewhere in New Jersey. At Snearowski Farm, near Bedminster, NJ, I found what I was looking for.
These photos were shot around sunset and into the night. The streaking clouds were done with long exposures. We were originally hoping to catch the Milky Way in the night sky. Those hopes were dashed by intermittent clouds and some light pollution. However, while the fog in ruined our chances for good star shots, it created some really cool misty night shots (you can see stars in the sky if you look close). All-in-all, I think these turned out great.
