THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTOS

These photos were taken Easter Sunday as the sun went down on New York City.

For the shots with the pier, I had been searching for it for sometime. It was only after I saw a photo on Facebook and contacted the photographer that I was able to locate where it was. I really, really love the way the old, decaying structure leads to the new. A dead past giving way to an alive present and future. I also never get tired of photographing the New York City skyline and who doesn't love the Empire State Building and all its colors.
