Proud to announce that my photo "Twisted Pier" received the AWARD OF EXCELLENCE (top prize - shared) in the New Jersey Photography Forum's 2018 Juried Fine Art Photography Exhibit at the Watchung Arts Center in Watchung NJ. The show features 38 photos from 20 highly talented photographers so it is very exciting to have my work recognized in this way. The Exhibit runs from Nov. 1 - 30, 2018. The Watchung Arts Center is located at 18 Stirling Rd, Watchung, NJ 07069 (908) 753-0190. Please make sure to stop by and see the show - you won't be disappointed!  The New Jersey Photography Forum is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting fine art photography and photographers within the State of New Jersey. The group meets every month at the Visual Arts Center in Summit, NJ. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome to attend the monthly meetings. Hope you can make it to the show and to a NJ Photo Forum meeting sometime soon!
World Trade Center PierIMG_1041THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTOS

There is this crazy old abandoned pier that sits opposite Lower Manhattan on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River. I've been wanting to shoot there for months since it lines up perfectly with the new World Trade Center. The problem is access isn't easy. Well I finally made it over there (and over the fence ;-) ) and was able to grab these shots. They are some of my favorites for 2015. I especially like the way the photos look in black & white.
